Gangasagar is the most renowned pilgrimage destination in India, where one can see the confluence of Holy Ganges River with the Bay of Bengal. One needs to cross the Muriganga river via ferry from Harwood point Lot Number 8 to Kachuberia for traveling to the Gangasagar island.

 

Regular ferries depart from about 4:00 AM in the morning till 11:30 PM at night, depending on weather conditions and tides. Duration of ferry crossing time is 30 to 45 minutes.
